Terms of service

- 01The dealYou hand us your buildings' compliance. We schedule the inspections, chase the vendors, file the paperwork, and report back once a month. You pay a monthly fee per building. That is the whole arrangement.
- 02The guaranteeIf we miss a deadline we were responsible for, on a check we've confirmed against the city's own rules, we pay the city fine that comes from it, and that month of service is free. We pay up to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the fine. More on our guarantee page.
- 03What the guarantee does not coverFines or violations from before you joined. Cases where you or your tenants blocked access, said no to or held up approved work, or held back information we needed. Fines for items that are not in your plan. Checks marked "Likely, confirm" in your account, until we confirm them.
- 04How to claimEmail the fine notice to hello@exhalecompliance.com within 30 days of getting it. Once we confirm it, we pay within 30 days.
- 05What we need from youAccurate building information, access when a licensed vendor needs to get in, and payment on time. If we cannot get into a building after three tries, the deadline clock pauses until we can.
- 06CancelingAny time, no lock-in, no wind-down fees. Give us thirty days so open work can finish cleanly, and your records leave with you in good order.
- 07What we are notWe are not your lawyer, your insurer, or your property manager. We keep your buildings compliant with the codes on our watch list, which we agree on in writing before we start.
- 08LiabilityBeyond the guarantee, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months. We carry our own insurance, and every vendor we send is licensed and insured before they touch your building.
- 09Text messagesIf you give us your mobile number, we text you about jobs, deadlines and approvals. How often we text depends on your work. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop getting texts, or HELP for help. We never sell or share your phone number for marketing.
- 10ChangesIf we change these terms, we email you thirty days before they take effect. If you do not like the new ones, you can leave under the old ones.
- 11QuestionsEmail legal@exhalecompliance.com. A person reads it, usually the same day.
