What's new in Exhale

What changed in the app, newest first.

October 8, 2026

  • Exi now sits in a bubble on every page. Ask a question without leaving what you are doing.
  • Home opens right into a chat with Exi, with what Exi did for you and what comes next.
  • You can rename and delete your chats with Exi.
  • Exi can look things up for you and take you to the right page.
  • New compliance calendar: a month view of due checks and booked visits.
  • Add your deadlines to Google Calendar or Outlook with a private link. You can turn the link off any time.
  • Each check has a proof drawer. Open it to see the report, photo or city record behind the check.
  • Add proof yourself. Drop in a file, Exi suggests the date, and you confirm it.
  • Proof that is about to expire now shows a renew step.
  • Reports from vendors now land as proof for your team to review.
  • Jobs show Verified once a city record or accepted proof confirms the work.
  • Every check and job has an owner on your team. Change the owner, or filter to just yours.
  • New roles: Owner and Super. You can switch someone to Super and pick which buildings they see.
  • Owners can read and download reports.
  • The Portfolio tab is now called Buildings, with a health score trend, coverage, recent activity and deadlines by week.
  • Your health score now counts only proven checks, weighs them by how serious they are, and shows why it moved.
  • Approve all of Exi's emails for a building in one preview.
  • Answer "Confirm whether" questions right on the building page.
  • Print your compliance report, or share it with a link that works for 30 days.
  • Add many buildings at once.
  • If one building has more than one address, Exi keeps them together as one building.
  • Setup now asks where your work lives, so Exi knows where to look.
  • New Settings: a Company tab for your address, time zone and office hours, and an Exi tab to let Exi email or call vendors. Calls only happen during your office hours.
  • In your profile you can change your name, set a password and see where you are signed in.
  • Admins get a Security tab with your company's activity log. Download all your data, or ask us to delete your company.
  • Only admins can make or change your company's AI connection key.
  • Pick which emails you get. Exi emails you when a visit is booked, when work is filed, when a vendor replies, and when a task becomes yours.
  • New Monday summary email with your week ahead.
  • Invite your own vendors from the Vendors page.
  • Vendors can apply to join Exhale online.
  • Vendors: each upload is one piece of proof, with one clear "Got it".
  • NYC apartment rules added: lead paint, window guards, bedbugs, heat, HPD registration, and mold and pest checks.
  • The free building check covers Chicago rules for facades, energy reporting and elevators.
  • The free building check has one address box, a report card for each building, and a list view for several buildings.
  • Clearer free check results: plain building types and a better message when we can't find an address.
  • The sign-in page links to the free building check. Public pages link to Terms, Privacy and Contact.

  • Admins get an alert when NYC city records show something new about a building.
  • Billing: checkout with sales tax, and a page to see invoices and change your card.
  • The free building check works for any US address and suggests addresses as you type.
  • Set up your account yourself in six short steps.
  • Sign in with Microsoft (Outlook or Office 365).
  • Sign in with a link we email you, and reset a forgotten password.
  • Vendors get one private link per job. No login needed.
  • The app now lives at app.exhalecompliance.com.
  • Exi can call vendors for you. Only calls you approve, and what it learns comes back as a suggestion.
  • You see a preview and confirm before anything leaves Exhale.
  • Paste a list of addresses or drop in a file to see what each building owes.
  • NYC rules use real due dates, counted from the last inspection, and every duty cites its law.
  • The app works on a phone, with no sideways scrolling.
