Privacy policy

Last updated October 2026. The short version: we treat your data with care, and we only email you when something matters.

    What we collectYour name, email, company, and the details you share about your buildings: addresses, square footage, inspection records, and vendor documents. If you connect a work order system, we read what we need to track compliance and nothing else.

    Why we collect itTo run your compliance work. We use your building data to book inspections, chase vendors, file paperwork and show you where you stand.

    Who sees itOur team, the licensed vendors doing work on your buildings (only what they need for the job), the city agencies we file with on your behalf, and the service providers we use to run Exhale. They can only use your data to provide their service to us. We never sell your data.

    Our service providersVercel (hosting), Turso (database), Anthropic (AI), Google Maps (addresses), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics), Retell (phone calls), Twilio (texts) and Composio (connecting your tools).

    AIWe use Anthropic's AI to read your documents and answer questions. We don't train AI models on your data, and Anthropic doesn't either.

    Phone callsPhone calls with Exi may be recorded and turned into text so we can do the work.

    Text messagesIf you give us your mobile number, we text you about jobs, deadlines and approvals. How often we text depends on your work. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop getting texts, or HELP for help. We never sell or share your phone number for marketing.

    How long we keep itAs long as you are a client, plus whatever your city requires for compliance records. If you leave, we hand your records over in good order and delete what the law lets us delete.

    CookiesWe use cookies to keep you logged in. We also use PostHog analytics to see how people use our site and app and to spot broken pages. We don't use ad trackers.

    Your rightsYou can ask us what we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@exhalecompliance.com and a person will answer within a week.

    ChangesIf we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email you before it takes effect.
